Buying tips
- Confirm the kit's actual run length is long enough for your install before buying; a kit that's a foot short forces an ugly splice at the worst spot in the run.
- Check whether the copper is CCA (copper-clad aluminum) or true OFC (oxygen-free copper); a CCA-based kit performs more like a smaller true-copper gauge because aluminum has higher resistance.

Fuse placement is not optional
